I'm an emotive photojournalist. A passionate creative.
Photography has always been my way of connecting and expressing what i experience. My creativity is fuelled by the mystery of the unknown and the spontaneity of the moment. I bring my eye, talent, experience and openness into creating, and then lean in to see what will happen with the individuals i am so lucky to create with.
I want to create something special and unique with who you are. Something that honestly describes where you are at in life; what it truly feels like. My goal is to focus on your emotions, connection and dynamic.
I am all about the experience. How things feel. For me, how I remember everything is filtered through how it felt. This flows right into how I create. I aim to be apart of the real emotions that unravel. My ideas are always premised by saying that they are suggestions. If I suggest something that you would never do, then i don't want you to do it! I don't want your experience to be so foreign to who you are that you don't even recognize the final images. I want to build a level of comfort where you will allow me to see how you interact and feel. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO ME. I don't come with a predetermined "shot list" where i will dictate in intense detail until we get the perfect shots. I find that leaves me and you feeling robotic and that the real emotions don't even matter. I believe my job isn't to make you different for the images, but rather to trust you and give you room to share who you are. This is exactly why I intentionally try to make my sessions as relaxed as possible. I never interrupt a moment. I work toward quiet observation with very limited intrusion (and only when desired for a particular artistic vision). I believe in the unknown is where the magic happens.
Thank you for taking the time to browse through my work. These are the connections I’ve been honoured to experience with the people I’ve been grateful to know.
I would love to meet and create with you.
